Since 2006, I have been concentrating my activities in the production of documentary photography/ video focusing on fashion, music, travel & culture for press and NGOs. In the latter leasing with organisation that work towards raising awareness in poverty aleviation and cultural preservation. The photo documentary projects have involved travel in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Belgium, France,Brazil, Qatar, UAE, USA,India,Zimbabwe as well as in the UK. David currently does travel trade design work amidst freelancing in photo. The images on Flickr and on the website(www.sixoone.com) can be licensed or ordered as prints. I am available for commissioned work local and worldwide.

My experience ranges from working with West Africa magazine ( weekly 48 page current news magazine), Africa Week magazine, Eastern Africa newspaper, The TEAM (music tv show) as well as several travel trade publications.

A photoshoot and interview with Sudanese music artist Emmanuel Jal for the forthcoming 'Picha Mtaani' documentary to be released on 29th July 2010 in Nairobi. Picha Mtaani, Swahili for ‘street exhibition’, is a youth led peace initiative that primarily seeks to create space for young people to reconcile and become agents of reconciliation to their respective communities. Two years after Kenya’s worst election violence which left 1,500 dead and hundreds of thousands internally displaced, Kenya is a nation in search of its identity. Picha Mtaani aims at providing a platform for national reflection and building local reconstruction consensus through photo exhibitions and conversation. This project aims at organizing target communities to play their part in the reconciliation and reconstruction process. Boniface Mwangi is an award winning journalist, who is based in Nairobi. He is the first Kenyan photojournalist to win the CNN Multichoice Journalist Award (CNN Africa Photojournalist of the Year 2008). Boniface Mwangi is also founder of Picha Mtaani, a youth-led national reconciliation initiative in Kenya Emmanuel Jal, an ex-child soldier turned rap artist, founder of GUA Africa. The word GUA (pronounced gwaah) means peace in Nuer, a tribal language of Southern Sudan.

The JEREMPAUL A/W2010 collection show on the 19th of February 2010 at the Royal Society of Arts House, the Strand during London Fashion Week. This season's collection was inspired by the uncompromised beauty and eclectic life of surrealist artist Frida Kahlo. The collection which is artisan led (a lot of handcraft), colourful, beautiful and sexy. Khulekani Msweli is a fashion designer from Swaziland.
